Poly[1,1‐bis(trimethylsilyloxy)‐3,3,5,5‐tetramethyltrisiloxane], the first linear polysiloxane in which each third silicon atom of the polymer backbone is a tetra‐functional SiO 2 (Q) unit, has been prepared by anionic ring‐opening polymerization of 1,1‐bis(trimethylsilyloxy)‐3,3,5,5‐tetramethylcyclotrisiloxane.
