Abstract Functionalized organometallic polymers are reported. Direct substitution reactions on poly(ferrocenylsilanes) using nucleophiles with protected amines led to amine‐functionalized polymers. The use of protecting group and monomer substitution strategies were found to be compatible with ring‐opening polymerization protocols allowing the synthesis of high polymers with amino, bromo, ester, or quarternary ammonium functionalities.
