Anisotropic mesoporous glass of 30 nm pore diameter was prepared by stretching the softened borosilicate glass along the z‐axis before phase separation (spinodal decomposition) took place. The anisotropy in diffusion was measured from the velocity of the traveling chemical waves of the Belousov‐Zhabotinksy reaction that proceeded in the mesoporous glass.
