Carboamination of alkynes is catalyzed by a Pd 0 –Cu I bimetallic species. The Pd 0 species act as a precursor for a π‐allylpalladium intermediate while the Cu I centers behave as a Lewis acid for CC bonds. This catalyst allows the synthesis of indoles from isocyanates and allyl carbonates (see scheme).
