A challenging problem is the structure determination of liquid sulfur. By using a quantum thermodynamical model the authors found that liquid sulfur below the λ ‐transition temperature is predominantly built upon cyclic structures S 8c (see structure) accompanied by trace amounts of other ring structures such as S 7c , S 6c , S 9c , S 10c , and S 12c .
