Semicrystalline microparticles of high molecular mass polyethylene can be prepared as aqueous dispersions (see picture) by catalytic emulsion polymerization of ethylene with a mini‐emulsified catalyst precursor (D $\rm{\frown}$ D=salicylaldimine, L=pyridine). Stable polymer latexes are formed.
