Coordination of neutral S 8 molecules by transition metal centers has been structurally confirmed for the first time. The monoadduct [Rh 2 (O 2 CCF 3 ) 4 ](S 8 ) is a one‐dimensional polymer with an alternating chain of dirhodium( II ) tetra(trifluoroacetate) and bidentate S 8 rings, whereas [Rh 2 (O 2 CCF 3 ) 4 ] 3 (S 8 ) 2 is a pseudo‐two‐dimensional ribbon in which all cyclo‐S 8 ligands act in a tridentate fashion (see picture).
