A boat‐shaped 1,4‐cyclohexadiene‐like ring is present in the C 60 molecule with a novel σ‐type μ 3 ‐ η 1 , η 2 , η 1 bonding mode in the clusters 2 a and 2 b . The change in coordination mode was induced by insertion of an RNC ligand into an Os−Os bond of the π‐type C 60 complex 1 . R=CH 2 C 6 H 5 .
