Inclusion of a free inorganic salt : Neutral, nearly linear HgI 2 guest molecules are encapsulated in the square channels of [Cu(2‐pyrazinecarboxylato) 2 HgI 2 ]⋅HgI 2 , a hydrothermally synthesized Cu II –Hg II mixed‐metal coordination polymer with a unique extended cuboidal open framework. The picture shows the framework around one HgI 2 molecule.
