Making stairs: A new conformational concept is presented for the synthesis of derivatives of C 2 ‐symmetrical 1,2‐diamines, where a stairlike arrangement is imposed on the molecule. A new efficient synthesis of ( R , R )‐bipyrrolidine is described; the picture shows the X‐ray structure of the ( R , R )‐bipyrrolidine/ZnCl 2 complex.
