The most effective nickel catalysts for the copolymerization of ethylene and carbon monoxide, to give polyketones, known to date are based on enaminone ligands. With a perfluorinated side chain these complexes (see, for example, 1 ) are soluble in supercritical carbon dioxide and catalyze the formation of polyketones in this medium.
