A twisted six‐membered Al 2 N 4 ring , which is rationalized by ab initio calculations, is present in compound 1 . This compound together with 2 is obtained from the reaction of acetylenes with an aluminum dihydride bearing pyrazolato ligands. Compounds 1 and 2 are the first structurally characterized aluminum compounds with terminal acetylide groups.
