This is the 100th issue of Chemistry–A European Journal. The inaugural issue, which contained 10 full papers and featured a paper by A. C. Legon on the cover, appeared in April 1995. Since then Chemistry–A European Journal has progressed from being distributed with Angewandte Chemie to being a well‐established independent journal for top‐quality full papers. The first hundred issues have featured full papers and Concept articles not only from all over Europe but from all over the world. The full papers published have covered all aspects of chemistry and its interdisciplinary boundaries to biology, physics, and materials. The 100 issues of Chemistry–A European Journal have contained almost 1950 full papers and 140 Concept articles, and have delivered to the readers almost 20 000 pages of top chemistry.
