A new framework compound, [Co(C 8 NH 6 O 4 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ] n · n2H 2 O ( 1 ), built by 5‐aminoisophthallic acid (AIP) ligands linking up cobalt(II) atoms and further assembled into a 3D network via interlamellar hydrogen bonding and π‐π stacking interactions, has been hydrothermally synthesized and its magnetic properties have been studied also.
