A Chromate(VI) Oxide Ceramics Na 8 [Al 6 Si 6 O 24 ](CrO 4 ) with Zeolitic Nosean Structure and Pigment Properties The cages of the zeolitic sodalite lattice can be occupied by half by the tetrahedral CrO 4 2— group, yielding a thermally stable, intense lemon‐yellow pigment, in which the colour centres are shielded completely from the atmosphere. The analyses yielded compositions Na 8 [Al 6+2δ Si 6—2δ O 24 ](CrO 4 ) 1—δ with a small surplus of Al 3+ and a CrO 4 2— deficiency (δ ≅ 0.15).
