The pendant‐armed ligands L 1 and L 2 were synthesized by N‐alkylation of the two secondary aminic groups of the oxaazamacrocyclic precursor L with o ‐nitrobenzylbromide (L 1 ) or p ‐nitrobenzylbromide (L 2 ). Metal complexes of L 1 and L 2 have been synthesized and characterized by microanalysis, MS‐FAB, conductivity measurements, IR, UV‐Vis, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy and magnetic studies. Crystal structures of ligands L 1 and L 2 , as well as complexes [CdL 1 (NO 3 ) 2 ]·2CH 3 CN and [Ag 2 Br(L 2 ) 2 ](ClO 4 )·2CH 3 CN have been determined by single crystal X‐ray crystallography.
