The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of bibliotherapy to reduce generalized fear of second‐grade children. Results supported the hypothesis that fear would be reduced through bibliotherapy, but measures should be taken to ensure good research design and maximization of the treatment over an extended period of time.
