The Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology had some surprising beginnings, several important events having taken place north of the Mason‐Dixon line. An attempt is made here, through a series of reminiscences, to recapture the flavor of the organization when it had progressed to its midcareer period in the 1930s and 1940s.
