This is the second of two articles describing a systematic skills approach to the selection and training of foster parents to function as mental health paraprofessionals. This article presents a discussion of the training component that was designed to enhance the helping and parenting skills of the foster parents. Results from a pilot evaluation of the training program (with both formative and summative parts) are presented.
