DNA immobilization on mesoporous nanocrystalline anatase films produces a striking enhancement of the oxidation current, which is a result of targeting guanine by a ruthenium‐based redox mediator. The amperometric response can be used to monitor hybridization, rendering this system attractive for DNA chips.
