The cover picture shows the shape of a supersonic adiabatically cooled helium jet outlined by the optical emission spectrum of pure carbon clusters. The overlayed IR spectrum, generated with a tunable diode laser, of the linear C 10 carbon cluster shown at the bottom of the picture is rotationally resolved (upper trace), whereas the lower trace depicts its calculated counterpart.
