Palladium‐catalyzed cross coupling of 2,7,12‐tribromotruxene with organostannanes and boronic acids leads to 2,7,12‐trisubstituted truxenes. 5,10,15‐Triarylated and trialkynylated truxene derivatives are obtained by the reaction of truxenone with aryl Grignard reagents or an alkynyllithium, followed by reduction of the tertiary alcohols with Et 3 SiH or BF 3 . syn ‐5,10,15‐Triarylated derivatives were obtained by the base‐catalyzed isomerization of the anti derivatives.
