The bidentate hydroxy phosphane 20 and the phosphane phosphinite 21 , each bearing a camphane skeleton, were prepared in five and six steps (52% and 28% yield), respectively, from (1 S )‐(+)‐camphorsulfonic acid 8 via the triethylsilyl‐protected iodide 17 as a key intermediate. An X‐ray crystal structure was obtained for 21 .
