A family of trinuclear heterometallic complexes of the formula [{Pt(NH 3 ) 2 (NHCO t Bu) 2 } 2 M]X n (M = Mn 2+ , Fe 3+ , Co 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cu 2+ ; X = BF 4 − , ClO 4 − ) have been prepared by reacting [Pt(NH 3 ) 2 (NHCO t Bu) 2 ]·2H 2 O and the corresponding metal ions in water. They were characterised by elemental analysis, and their structures were determined by X‐ray crystallography. The crystal structures of all the complexes consist of trinuclear [{Pt(NH 3 ) 2 (NHCO t Bu) 2 } 2 M] n + (M = Mn 2+ , Fe 3+ , Co 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cu 2+ ) cations with M located at the centre. The platinum atoms are linked to the central metal atom through their amidate ligands also by Pt−M interactions. The coordination sphere of the Pt atom is completed by two NH 3 and two amidate ligands in cis positions to each other. The central heterometal ions are coordinated by four oxygen atoms of the amidate ligands, adopting either a square‐planar or a tetrahedral conformation. Crystal structure determinations of all the complexes revealed extensive systems of N−H ··· O hydrogen bonds between the coordinated NH 3 ligands and the counteranions.
