The reactions of t Bu‐calix[6]arene (H 6 L) with Ln(O 3 SCF 3 ) 3 (Ln = La, Sm, Yb) were used to isolate [{La(O 3 SCF 3 )(pyridine) 7 } 2 H 2 L] ( 1 ), [{Sm(O 3 SCF 3 )(pyridine) 4 } 2 H 2 L] ( 2 ) and [{Yb(O 3 SCF 3 )(terpyridine)(pyridine)} 2 H 2 L] ( 3 ), three novel bimetallic calixarene complexes of the lanthanides. The solid state structures of 2 and 3 were determined by X‐ray crystallography revealing compounds where the two metal cations are anchored on both sides of the macrocycle in the 1,2,3‐alternate conformation. Compounds 1−3 are the first bis‐alkoxy triflate species {M(OR) 2 (O 3 SCF 3 )} to be characterized in lanthanide coordination chemistry.
