The reaction of (C 5 Me 5 ) 2 Si or (C 5 Me 5 )SiMe 3 with B 2 Cl 4 leads to the adducts (C 5 Me 5 )B→BCl 2 SiCl 3 ( 5a ) or (C 5 Me 5 )B→BCl 3 ( 5b ), in which the Lewis acids stabilize the boranediyl fragments. Spectroscopic data and X‐ray structure analyses confirm the adducts.
