A low‐profile, rectangular, aperture‐coupled dielectric‐resonator antenna is analyzed using the method of moments (MoM). The analysis is formulated by deriving volume‐integral equations for the resonator and the substrate. Theoretical E‐ and H‐plane patterns obtained from the MoM compare well with measurements and previously published FDTD results. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
