The response of a twin Vivaldi antenna to even and odd excitations is used to achieve pattern diversity at a single frequency (4.4 GHz). In the even mode, the antenna radiates at boresight with a 6.5 dBi gain. The odd mode radiates symmetrically with a 6 dBi gain. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
