This paper presents a rigorous analysis of the scattering at the junction between a coaxial line and an off‐centered circular waveguide. The E‐field mode‐matching matrix is analytically derived in closed form for calculating the scattering matrices of the waveguide junction. Numerical results for the reflection and transmission coefficients of single and cascaded waveguide junctions are presented and discussed. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
