The claim of Liu et al. in a recent paper in this journal that rigor is lacking and something is amiss in previously derived expressions of the infinite‐medium dyadic Green's functions of a homogeneous, isotropic chiral medium is shown to be without any substance. As a consequence, the paper by Liu et al. contains no new insight into a subject that has been thoroughly understood on the basis of rigorous mathematical treatment within the last decade. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
