The investigation of leaky waves on multilayered microstrip lines using the SDA requires evaluation of the infinite abruptly changing spectral integrals corresponding to various current contributions. Clearly revealed in this paper is the effective finite integration limits presented to facilitate efficient and accurate numerical simulation, especially for the sharp‐variation region near surface‐wave poles. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
