A case series of four patients with disorders of gonadal differentiation and maturation who subsequently developed bulimia nervosa is described. To the authors' knowledge these are the first reports of bulimia nervosa in conjunction with preexisting gonadal pathologies. The possible psychological and physiological mechanisms by which the organic pathologies and their treatment might have led to the development of bulimia nervosa are discussed. © 1992 lohn Wiley & Sons, Inc.
