Forty‐seven subjects were administered two forms of the SCANS questionnaire (Slade & Dewey, 1986), an automated version and the standard pencil and paper format, in random order. The automated version was shown to correlate highly with the standard version. It is suggested that the use of a computerized version provides an alternative administration format with some advantages.
