The Information Inventory (II), a short intelligence test for screening purposes, was compared to the Quick Test via administration to 111 adults for whom WAIS‐Rs were available. The II was found to be equivalent or superior to the Quick Test with regard to psychometric properties and pragmatic considerations. The II had a mean like that of the WAIS‐R; the QT was biased toward low IQs.
