Equations were derived for estimating MMPI scores from a short form that was developed for cognitively impaired individuals. Multiple regression analyses of the data on 300 patients demonstrated that prediction from a single short‐form scale was acceptable and was little improved by the addition of other scales or sex of subject to the prediction equation. Substituution equations were constructed, and correlations of short‐form scales with the full MMPI ranged from .82 to .96 with a median of .91.
