Examined pre‐ and post‐arrests of 76 alcoholics treated on an outpatient basis at a rural mental health center and compared with the arrest rates of non‐treated alcoholics ( N = 36) and the general Wyoming population. It was found that: (1) the treated alcoholics had generally higher arrest rates than the general population; and (2) frequency of arrests for the outpatients did not evidence reduction after treatment.
