Reported further data using a psychological diary technique designed to monitor S s' ( N = 110) emotional states over time. Using aggregate measures obtained over a 10‐day period, the basic factor structure of the diary was replicated. The principal factors indentified were interpersonal stress, depression‐isolation and physical complaints. Items in both the interpersonal stress and depression‐isolation factors tended to be related positively to the total number of physical complaints reported during the time period.
