The MMPI‐168 is an efficient abbreviated administration of the standard Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory that is especially recommended for screening purposes. The MMPI profiles for bright young college graduates do not conform to the general norms that are used in most clinical applications. For some purposes, it may be more important to know how an individual compares to his own reference group than to a population from which he is expected to differ. Percentile norms for MMPI‐168 clinical scales based on a sample of 731 medical school applicants are presented in this article.
