Investigated the discriminative ability of the MMPI validity and clinical scales with schizophrenic and nonschizophrenic patients across various age levels. Two hundred psychiatric inpatients comparised the sample. Results suggest that age does affect MMPI scale scores of psychiatric inpatients and that schizophrenic and nonschizophrenic patients present divergent MMPI profiles for the two groups studied. Comparability with earlier findings and interpretive trends are offered.
