Reported two studies with a total of 916 S s in which correlations were obtained between geographic mobility, psychological adjustment, and certain personality traits. Controls were implemented for age, education, sex, marital status, and social class. The results indicated that geographic mobility was independent of psychological adjustment, and none of the personality scales was associated differentially with adjustment in mobile populations. Furthermore, mobile individuals were not different from non‐mobile individuals on any of the personality scales that were measured. The hypothesis of increased adjustment problems with increased mobility was not supported.
