Random assignment of 312 S s to dyadic or individual test conditions at each of three I‐E levels was accomplished for students enrolled in an urban community college. Independent variables were cooperation, Locus of Control, and sex. Scores on the Unusual Uses Activity of the TTCT were the dependent variables. Multivariate results indicated that all main effects were significant beyond the 0.02 level. One‐way univariate analyses showed dyads significantly more flexible and original than individuals; no significant differences between internal, mixed, or external Locus of Control S s; and males significantly more flexible than females in creative functioning.
