An updated form of the Activity Vector Analysis became operational in 1975. This study investigated the construct validity of the present form of AVA. S s were 81 adults who were participating in a series of Family Life Education Seminars conducted by an urban university extension service. S s were administered both a questionnaire designed to evaluate their physical and mental health status and the AVA. There was a very high correspondence between the personality descriptions of the AVA profiles of the S s which fell within a very tight cluster and a summary of the personal and family problems expressed by the sample.
