Tested 488 elementary and junior high school children to evaluate the utility of a test constructed to measure children's emotional and attitudinal reactions to separation and divorce. Test‐retest reliability was found to be 0.73 and internal consistency 0.71. The test also was found to differentiate significantly among groups of children with divorced parents, unhappy but intact families, and happy‐intact families. Uses of the test for clinical and research purposes are discussed.
