We have studied He–H 2 inelastic scattering by using a new time‐dependent quantum wave packet method. The state‐to‐state inelastic transition probabilities are calculated for a broad range on translational energy by a single solution of the Schrödinger equation. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
