The cytologic and histologic features of a rare case of small‐cell carcinoma arising in Barrett's esophagus are reported. The patient presented with progressive dysphagia and an endoscopy revealed a distal esophageal mass with luminal constriction. The brushing smears showed small‐cell carcinoma and dysplastic glandular epithelium. The concomitant biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of small‐cell carcinoma arising in Barrett's esophagus. Diagn.
