The Graphlet system is a portable editor for graphs that is implemented with C++ and Tcl/Tk and run on UNIX and MS Windows platforms. Its scripting language, Graphscript, supports extensive graph editor customization and the easy implementation of algorithms. The GML file format is an extensible, platform independent and easy implementable file format for graphs. This paper further discusses Graphlet's architecture, its graphics system and the C++ application programmer interface. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
