A 57‐year‐old woman developed pulmonary sarcoidosis during therapy with interferon β for advanced renal cell carcinoma metastatic to mediastinal lymph nodes. The possible role of interferon β in the pathogenesis of sarcoidosis in this patient is discussed. Cancer 59:896‐900, 1987.
