A primary malignant tumor of the endometrium with light microscopic features reminiscent of small‐cell undifferentiated carcinoma of the lung developed in a 60‐year‐old woman. Electron microscopy revealed cytoplasmic neurosecretory‐type granules and complex junctions, consistent with a “neuroendocrine” tumor. The histogenetic possibilities are discussed.
