A case of Sézary syndrome is presented. Coincident with topical treatment by nitrogen mustard, an enormous rise in circulating Sézary cells was seen in the peripheral blood. The possibility of this rise as a result of the topical treatment is discussed as a possible danger in topical therapy for individuals with Sézary syndrome.
