Two case reports of pure cystic acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland are presented, together with a review of the literature. Both cases showed some departures from the classical histologic features of acinic cell carcinomas, particularly in reference to the intracystic papillary components. Pure cystic acinic cell carcinomas of salivary gland are a rarity in the literature and may appear histologically and morphologically innocuous on superficial examination.
